Breast milk alone is sufficient for your child’s nutritional needs until they reach six months of age. Once they reach this milestone, you should introduce other age-appropriate foods alongside breast milk to support their growing nutritional needs.
The initial stage of weaning is crucial for developing healthy eating habits, including spoon-feeding, swallowing, and chewing. Many parents are unsure of when and how to introduce new foods to their baby’s diet to allow for exploration of new tastes and textures.
Join us for an informative and practical session with our dietitian and speech therapist. They will provide essential information on your baby’s feeding progression, nutrition, and weaning, as well as demonstrate ways to prepare your baby’s food.
Baby Weaning Workshop highlights of the program include an introduction to baby nutrition and weaning, an overview of the feeding progression through different food textures during weaning, and techniques for spoon-feeding, cup-drinking, and straw-drinking. Our speakers will also demonstrate how to prepare easy and delicious baby food recipes.
